Tom opened the doors of Bates, Chamberlain & Associates, LLC in 1976. More than thirty-five years later, Tom's hard work and dedication are apparent. After moving the business out of his home and into various small offices, the business has been located at 80 Maple Street in Stoneham, Massachusetts since 1984 and has expanded to include over 700 clients. Throughout the years, Tom has never lost focus of his goal to provide outstanding and personalized service to each client and that mission has become the cornerstone on which the company is based.

Tom currently serves as Vice President on the Board of Directors at Salem Country Club. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Jennifer Chamberlain, CPA, MST

Jenn graduated from Salem State College with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, concentrating in accounting. She joined Bates, Chamberlain & Associates, LLC in 1998 while working towards her degree. After several years of employment and in effort to gain experience, she went to work at two larger firms in the Greater Boston area, passed the CPA exam and received a Masters in Taxation from Bentley University.
